A structural analysis of the story, culminating in a feedback report. This will contain a critique of the plot, characterisation, timeline and themes, giving you a bigger picture overview of your manuscript. We will also identify strengths and weaknesses.
This package provides a full edit, with tracked changes and comments. We will check for spelling, grammar, punctuation and typos. We will also analyse your characterisation and plot, and perform fact checking and localisation when required.
Once you have decided which service your work requires you can contact us via e-mail, so that we can discuss your manuscript or essay, and establish exact fees and availability. You can also inform us about your work and ask any questions you may have. Once everything is confirmed you will then receive an invoice and, once the invoice has been paid and the manuscript/essay received, we will begin work.
Once we have established a set fee, and which service you will be requiring, we will send you an invoice with payment details enclosed. For authors, you will pay half of the amount up front, via bank transfer, or PayPal, if preferred. We will then contact you via e-mail once we have finished working on your manuscript, at which point you will then pay the second half. Once we have received the final payment, we will return your edited manuscript to you, via e-mail.
This is entirely up to you. A extract can allow us to get a basic grasp of your work and give you any feedback, dependent on what package you have chosen. However with a manuscript analysis or full edit, it's always worth sending through the whole piece. You are always very welcome to contact us first and we can discuss what we both feel you should send through.
We will always try and be on your side and follow the truth of your story or academic idea, however sometimes we appreciate you might not be happy with the feedback we give you. Our advice is to put the feedback away, and return to it at a later date. Sometimes going back to the edit after some time can give you a fresh perspective. We are also happy to offer further feedback and clarification if needed.
We have an immediate and full refund policy of your commissioning payment, should you decide not to go ahead with our service. However, as soon as the project is in progress, and an edit, proofread or analysis has begun, no refunds can be given, and the full contracted project fees apply.
If you wish to cancel the contracted project, you must notify us in writing (an e-mail is satisfactory) prior to the communicated start date.
Give it a read through and then put it to the side for a week or so. Then return back to it and decide on what changes you would like to make upon reading our edit and/or report. If you then wish to have a second edit, please get in touch and we can arrange a reduced fee, or you can then decide to opt for a proofread to ensure any final minor errors are ironed out.
